At first thought postage stamps may seem a boring topic. There are millions of stamps from all across the world, and every one of them at one point or another was brainstormed, designed and prepared. From the basic shape of the stamp, to the design or art on the front, and of course to the material and printing technique to put the stamp into final production. Some stamps are boring, some are interesting, some are beautiful and some are hilarious. This showcase presents over 90 individual stamps for your viewing pleasure.
Stamp collecting is one of the most popular hobbies in the world, with up to (an estimated) 20 million collectors in the United States alone. There are literally millions of stamps out there so it really is a never-ending hobby, with some rare and unused stamps selling for tens of thousands of dollars or even more.
